John Bennett graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1983 and moved to Italy, working with Tecno Spa and Marcatrè. In 1987 he opened a studio specializing in office and contract furniture design and then began collaborating with companies around the world. His work has been given international awards and is renowned for the user-centred approach to design which is also central to his teaching and practice at the Polytechnic of Milan University.
